Unexpected Server Downtime – 11 August

Posted by Maeve, 11 Aug, 2016 | No Comments »

As you may have noticed, we had some unexpected server downtime today with the Enigma Server offline for 4mins at around 2am and for 49mins from 11:09am to 11:58am. The downtime was caused by a blocked port on httpd server Apache. It took us longer than it should have to identify the issue. Once the problem was found, it was easily fixed.

We’re very, very sorry for this interruption of service.
53 mins of downtime is just not good enough. We have taken measures to ensure this does not happen again, and will also be looking into ways we can improve our response time and keep our customers better informed in the future during any outage that takes longer than a minute or two to resolve.

Thank you for your patience and understanding. Again, sincere apologies for the downtime. If you have any questions or would like to discuss the matter in person please do not hesistate to get in touch.
