Review of AndroidZoom – The Apps Discoverer

Posted by Maeve, 26 Nov, 2012 | No Comments »

Android store has over 500,000 apps. While this is great in terms of variety, it becomes tough for a user to find that one app that suits his requirements. It is like trying to find a needle in a haystack. This confusion can now be removed with Android Zoom, the Apps Discoverer.

How does the app work?

The app discoverer offers expert reviews of thousands of apps so that you understand the pros and cons of every app. You can sort apps using different filters. After you get a list of apps that suit your cause, you can read reviews and decide whether an app is worth downloading. The reviews are unbiased and clear.

Further, the app offers advanced features such as access to personalized recommendations when you sign in with a Google account. You get a list of users who have downloaded the app that you are interested in. So, it helps you evaluate the app’s popularity. Users can also shop in Google Play through this app.

The app is multifunctional. In addition to helping you decide on the right apps, it also works as your personal app store manager by managing apps that are already installed on your device. So, you can decide which ones to keep and which to delete. For users who store hundreds of apps on their devices with several of them being used very sporadically, this app can be a great solution.
The app is easy to use. Shortcut menus can be accessed by tapping or sliding on the screen. Recently, the app was upgraded and the design was completely revamped for tablet compatibility. The home screen performance is much better and faster now. User interface has been improved and minor bugs that caused small troubles in usability have now been fixed.

The limitation

According to the makers, the search engine of the app is not as thorough as the one on their website. Nevertheless, provision of different kinds of filters does make the app functional to a large extent.
